I’ve been a fan of the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Brunette for some years, so I was a little dubious about how the Cherry would fare on my dark hair.  In my opinion Batiste are the market leaders in the dry shampoo arena, so I was keen to try out the Cherry scent.  I am very sensitive to fragrance and usually shy away from anything to wiffy, but I’m pleased to report the Cherry is now my favourite in the range.  Even better, there was no sign of a white cast when used on my dark roots!

They say:

Cherry is for anyone that loves their look sweet, smooth and full of luscious retro flavour. Our fun new fragrance delivers a rich cherry scent as it livens up your locks, and looks just as great on your dressing table as in your vintage handbag.

Dry shampoo is not just for ladies who like to stretch their style another day.  I also use dry shampoo for refreshing my fringe which is the first spot to show signs of oil, adding some texture to mid-lengths so my fine hair is not so slippery when styling and sometimes a spritz just at the crown to add some volume to a high ponytail.

Here are some do’s and don’ts of using dry shampoo

DO spray at least 30cm (six inches) away from the roots.

DO take a moment to massage it into your scalp.  This will also add some va va va voom (lift) to your roots.

DO wait about two minutes before styling or brushing through. The product needs to sit for a moment, to do its thing

DON’T spray dry shampoo on damp or wet hair. It’s called dry shampoo for a reason.

Bastite Dry Shampoo in Cherry is available in 200ml and 50ml sizes, perfect for your bathroom and handbag!  You can purchase Batiste from Priceline,
